During my 2026 summer I had the honor of being selected as a 2026 Bank Of America Student Leader out of hundreds of applicants all throughout the United States. While being selected as a 2026 Bank Of America Student Leader, I had the opportunity to fly out to Charlotte North Carolina and participate in the Bank Of America Student Leaders Summit. While at the summit i got the opportunity to meet new people from many different states and different backgrounds. I also got the opportunity to hear from many wonderful speakers and learn about their backgrounds and what they are doing to change the world. While at the BofA Student Leaders summit, I was able to participate in many activities that including networking and getting to know other 2026 BofA Student Leaders.

As my Bank of America Student Leader Internship came to a close last Tuesday (07/21/2026) with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County, I wanted to give some shoutouts and thank you's. First and Foremost, I would like to shoutout Kathryn Weakland, Vice President Of Development at the Boys and Girls Clubs Of Fresno County Zimmerman Club. I wanted to shoutout Kathryn because throughout my and Shiv Mehrotra-Varma's internship with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County she had to put up with our different schedules, making sure we didn't go over our set amount of hours every week, made sure we were able to participate in many club events and activities, and most importantly made sure we were having fun at our clubs. Another person that I would like to shoutout is Jason M. Hannold. I wanted to shoutout Jason for allowing me to learn about how he got to CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Fresno County and for also showing me that you do not have to be the most richest or liked person to be able to make a change in someone's life. I would also like to shout out Ms. Juanieace for allowing me to intern at the Boys and Girls Club of Fresno County West Unit and for allowing me to not only get to know the kids but also form a bond with them and for allowing me to go on many fun trips with the kids. I also wanted to thank Ali Cox and Jazzmine Young for making my time at the BGCFC Zimmerman unit very fun and for allowing me to help you guys input some forms into an excel spreadsheet and for allowing me to learn about all the things that you guys do to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County run properly and efficiently.

During my time at the BGCFC West Fresno Unit, I got the opportunity to implement my program "Juan's Police Safety". In Juan's Police Safety, I was able to show the youth how they should act/speak when they are around the police and what they should do if they ever got pulled over. During a session of Juan's Police Safety, I had made a scenario for the youth that they were all pulled over and got a ticket. During the scenario many of the youth got the opportunity to role play as the Judge, District Attorney, Probation Officer, Ticketing Officer, and the Lawyer. Many of the youth had there license suspended/revoked, got a fine, put into jail, and some had their car impounded. I also got the opportunity to participate in many fun trips and activities with the youth. Some of the trips and activities include Chuck E Cheese, Water Days, Fresno A's Game, and the Alebrijes Competition. I also got the opportunity to participate and judge in a building block challenge with some of the youth. In the building block challenge each group had 10 minutes to build the tallest tower. Once the 10 minutes were over, I and Ms. Juanieace got to measure each tower and see which group had won the challenge. The winning group got the opportunity to enjoy some popsicles.

Thank you Bank of America and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County.
